Right, so here I am on a wonderful monday morning, staring in front of my computer screen as a thousand undone worksheets and assignments stare daggers at me from behind, their faces contorted in putrid horror that I would rather spend my time writing about homework undone than actually do the homework. Ah life's ironies. Well I'll eventually get down to doing it, because today, Monday, is Homework Day.
Whee. and before you get your party hats and other celebratory devices, the only reason why the first day of the holiday is bestowed the honour of being Homework Day, it's because the rest of the week has essentially been sucked up in a vacuum of centrestage rehearsals, ccas and whatnots. Thus, it is my wish, and sincere hope that I can finish everything by tonight. I mean, we all wish to sleep well at night don't we, knowing that what should be done has been done, and what is to be done has become what has been done. ;)
So what am I doing on the comp now, if each ounce of my inner being is just crying out to do bio, math, tok, english, business and french revision? hmm. Well I was looking for pictures of muse, so I can put em up in honour of the band, but alas, brendan ain't online, so my 35 pics have to wait.. Grrr. I have this horrible sore throat now, the one that hurts when you swallow, and limits you from doing a lot of essential activies, like playing the saxophone for example, and death metal growling, but that's another story. Just came back from the doctor's with some medicine and stuff, so hopefully it'll go away by tommorow.
Oh yeah, sometimes right, I really wish people would be more open minded. Especially Singaporeans. A bunch of mindless conservatives are we. And no open minded does not = mindless, although it's quite similar. But anyway, I was in town yesterday( weren't we all?) and was feeling rather sore, because of duh, the sore throat, and some niggling voice at the back of my head said that Gelato would cure all ills. Haha. Thus I wanted to get a scoop of Italian paradise at the shop in the Orchard underpass. And whoanelly whatcha know, advertised ( and cheaper than a normal scoop) , was a Gelato Milkshake, (COOLING AND SOOTHING), with no added sugar blahblahblah..with a choice of any of our available flavours. Well if they say any of our available flavours, then I guess Mint chip would suffice right, since it was paraded in all its green glory? So I went up to the counter staff, a dynamic duo of this teenage girl and guy, and asked , for yes, a Gelato Milkshake. 'What flavour, might we know?' asked the girl, seemingly under the illusion that the only flavours a milkshake might come in is CSV, no not a new ACS house, but chocolatestrawberryvanilla.
So imagine the utter horror, and sheer outrage experienced when I ordered a Mint Chip milkshake, cooling, soothing, and sooo green. HAHAH. The Dynamic duo spoke in hushed tones, and with great trepidation proceeded to scoop four delectable scoops of the green stuff, much to the chagrin of the fellow Gelatoers, who were gawking at the sight of a milkshake being anything other than brown, white or pink.
Sheesh.
At first I didn't order the damn thing just to be different, I ordered it for puerly tasting purposes, but afterwards I just decided to milk my milkshake for all its worth. And for the record, it was damn damn good, and refreshing.
But yes, it was a rather enlightening experience, and another peek into the mindset, or youngsters nowsaday.
ok back to homework.
hahaha.
